The Mental Game - Making Goals


I know I just posted a devlog concerning the update but as I was reflecting, i realized simply how mentally taxing game development is. There are two causes (to my belief). 

The first being setting unrealistic goals. I made a game with many mini goals but some of them where far too difficult and requires me to study deep game mechanics beyond my current expertise. At this time, there is nothing I could do so I had to overly simplify my game. 

The second being limited breaks. Essentially I took no breaks whatsoever and took a huge mental drainage over me. There is nothing I really could have done except just die. So I took longer than expected and I ultimately finished but with large mental drains. 

When working on any game, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take care of yourself. Your body will thank you.
