On Using Premade Assets
I am going to make a small confession, a lot of the tools I have been using are free assets that were NOT MADE BY ME. Obviously stating these out loud isn't going to make any meaningful impact and won't teach any of you guys anything of value. Instead, I want to mention that the creator of the tilesets: Adam and his team, are responsible for a good portion of the artwork here.
The point of this is to describe that the tools I used in a lot of these cases are premade assets given my time contraints and the lack of art experience in many regards. My decision was mostly based on the consideration that I needed to be quick with a lot of the art. A lot of what I make is technical and occasionally art related. This game and the tools used relied heavily on these assets.
